Graustark Stallion Brochure - 1966

The Graustark brochure was produced shortly after the royally bred son of Ribot abruptly and unexpectedly ended his brilliant and very popular career, losing by a nose in the Bluegrass Stakes.  The coffin bone injury causing his only loss, sent Graustark, albeit prematurely, on to a brilliant stud career.  This brochure chronicles his breeding as well as his short lived but impressive racing career.  Hall of Fame jockey Braulio Baeza said Graustark was the best horse he ever rode.  Graustark was a phenom of almost mystic proportions.

This brochure is original (printed in 1966), mint condition and just recently discovered in a closet at the Darby Dan Farm office in Lexington, Kentucky.  Less than a handful remain for each of these classic Darby Dan stallions.  Each brochure is an authentic historical document in prime condition.
